Description: New attorney or attorney looking to enter family law and estate planning? Experienced and successful “whole family” law practice seeks a new associate attorney. You will get the full experience from the start: Handling cases from start to finish, meeting with clients, prepping pleadings and cases, doing research, and appearing in court. You may also assist the senior attorney with cases. As a small office, expect to do daily office tasks including answering the phone, scheduling, scanning, and filing. Learn the ropes of social media and other marketing efforts. Geographic Preference: Northglenn, Colorado Job Qualifications / Requirements: JD required. Must have passed the Colorado Bar Exam or be signed up to take it July 2017. An entrepreneurial spirit is desirable. If the successful candidate has not yet passed the Bar Exam, the duties will be limited to those permitted for a non-lawyer under the Colorado Rules. The senior attorney mentors the candidate, keeping the candidate heavily involved in cases and training, with an eye toward the candidate being ready to take on cases fully as soon as she or he is sworn in. If the candidate is already a sworn-in attorney, the learning curve is much higher, with the senior attorney mentoring primarily from her office by the end of the first month and the candidate contributing to social media marketing within the first two months.
